From time to time I still trade, but my trading times have increasingly droped since I feel its more and more boring waiting for the market to give you a proper signal all day. The main reason why I am writting this article is because I do not like to sit behind my desk all day. So I have deiceided to give it to all of you who want to benefit from it. Price for my system was three hundred dollars, but due the relativity of success in the forex market I now have deiceided to give away my system information for free. Winning the forex market depends 70% on the trader, the other 30% is the system, so I think it was not fair selling my system even if it has a high probability rate. If you win or lose depends a lot on your personality and feelings so one might lose even if he has the best system in the world. The system was designed during carefull analysis of the market in the time of more than six months. It does not need any improving, nor changing. It is fully optimized for trading, so do not attempt to change any indicators or settings! Trade it as it is, demo trade it for at least two months to get a proper feeling of all the indicators and the system altogether. Last but not least, I am not responsible for any financial loss or benefit this information will bring you. Here is a system I have been trading. Additional nuances will follow soon. I eagerly welcome all of your comments (and complaints). This is not a prelude to a signal-selling service.

Construct a template according to the following settings:
8 EMA (yellow, dotted)
12 EMA (violet)
24 EMA (cornflower blue, hence the name)
72 EMA (khaki)

Apply to H1 (conservative) or M30 (aggressive) chart only and remove the grid for clarity.

System principles
Cornflower is based on the principle that trades should be taken when the same trend presents itself on multiple timeframes. On an hourly chart, the 24 EMA obviously defines the daily trend. The 8 EMA, which is one-third the length, shows the intraday velocity of “fast” money. A 12 EMA shows the trend of the last half-day. Its value is a place at which price will typically find support when there is a dominant trend. To a lesser extent, this also applies to the 24 EMA. A long-term trend will sometimes catch a breather around this area, with big money accumulating on the opportunity to buy or sell at a substantial discount. Finally, the 72 EMA defines the dominant trend in the market. This trend will reassert itself as cumulative memory persuades traders to resume trading in its direction. If the three shorter-term averages are above the 72 EMA, we are in an uptrend and should not go short. The same applies in reverse for a downtrend.

Cornflower can be used in a number of ways by all kinds of traders. When price pulls back to the area between the 12 and 24 EMAs, the opportunity for a short- to medium-term bounce presents itself. We can enter and set a profit target based on a number of criteria, be they support and resistance areas, pivot points, or a set pip amount. Or we can enter a longer-term trade, perhaps exiting when the 12 EMA crosses down below the 24 EMA. The longer-term setups in this system are powerful and can yield hundreds of pips on a single trade that will last for up to two weeks. Cornflower will catch every major move in the market, providing multiple opportunities to take advantage of a big trend and pretend that one is a bank trader.

Basic System Rules
There are two kinds of entries using this system: pullback (conservative) and initial (aggressive). The pullback entry, which is the heart of this system, enters the market when conditions are quiet and after price has settled into the area between the 8 and 24 EMAs. The timing of this entry can either be mechanical (using either the 12 or 24 EMA) or discretionary in accordance with the trader’s judgment on whether price is moving back in the direction of the trend.

The initial entry aims to capitalize on the first movement of a new trend, defined by a thrust beyond the 72 EMA that is confirmed by a turnaround in the shorter EMAs. It is more risky because there is always the possibility of a reversal. For this reason, it is probably better to use the M30 chart for this type of entry. Moved up by 30 minutes, one has the opportunity to take a small profit or scratch a trade at or near break-even if a reversal presents itself.

Only the H1 and M30 charts should be used with the Cornflower template. Shorter time periods will lead to whipsaws, whereas longer time periods lag behind the market too much.

The following rules are valid no matter the time of day. The quiet of the Asian session actually provides some excellent opportunities for entry, which is a boon for the trader whose day job makes watching the market during London or New York an impossibility.

Pullback (conservative) entry – use hourly chart
·8, 12, and 24 EMAs are all above (long) or below (short) the 72 EMA
·Price has pulled back to the 12 or 24 EMA (the more aggressive the trend, the more shallow the pullback.
·Enter for 20 pips, or hold depending on trader’s judgment of the strength of the trend.

Initial (aggressive) entry – use M30 chart with identical indicators
·Price has moved with authority above or below the 72 EMA. By “moved with authority,” I mean a candle that has closed near the top of its range.
·8, 12, 24 EMAs are all pointed in the direction of price, and preferably already stacked in a perfect order (8 over 12 over 24 for long, 24 over 12 over 8 for short).
·Enter for 20 pips and hold if the thrust develops into a real trend.

Using hourly and half-hourly charts, 20 pips is a realistic initial profit target, especially if one is trading GBPUSD, GBPJPY, or EURJPY. Even the other major pairs should yield this much on a properly gauged signal. By “major,” I mean EURUSD, USDCHF, AUDUSD, USDJPY, NZDUSD, and USDCAD. With the possible exception of EURGBP, any pair that involves two of the seven major currencies should be tradable with this system. Cornflower is particularly well-suited for entering long positions on the yen crosses (carry trades).

Entries may be timed more precisely with a 5M timeframe. More on this later.

Cornflower Hourly System

from forexfactory by lever70

Though I am a long time lurker on this forum, some of you may know me from elsewhere.

4 Hour Strategy (MACD)

from forecfactory by Phillip Nel

I am using this 4 Hour strategy only for the last month as I have papertraded for 2 years trying everything and or system I could find. (I am trading equities for almost 10 years)I have decided that I will only go live(after some losses-not to serious) after I have studied the field of forex and are satisfied that I have a system that works. I do believe that we are trying to make it to impressive and difficult. This system is simple and easy to understand. I have backtested and forward tested it over more than 200 trades and it gives 300+ pips per month. I never had more than two consecutive losses. I never use a stoploss bigger than 50. There are enough chances to ignore the ones bigger than 50.

I am using this strategy only on the EurUsd and the GbpUsd. Have not tested it on other.
I hope that you will find some use for it and that it put you on the road to financial independence.

attached files
L0 4 Hour MACD Forex Strategy Original.pdf (799.2 KB, 19274 views)

4 Hour MACD Forex Strategy.pdf (635.2 KB, 17388 views)

Planning your Trade.pdf (92.9 KB, 37353 views)

lest open your chart

5Min Intraday System

from forexfactory by Phillip Nel

I am using this 5Min intraday strategy with great success on the EurUsd and Gpb/Usd. Three deals max. per day. Open position when the angle of the 50 Simple moving average are greater than 20Degrees and the price retrace back into the zone of the 21 Exponential moving average and the 10 Exponential moving average. Set stoploss at 6 pips plus spread and profit taking at 8-10 pips. Move stoploss to breakeven as soon as 6 pips gain is obtained. Using this strategy is at your own risk. I am and was using this on 1min , 5min and 15min, so there are no changes of rules for any of the timeframes and same settings work for higher timeframes also and for any currency pair

This method should work good on all pairs, but due to the high votality and movement, i love to work on this pair, gives very high Risk to Reward Ratio.

I personally feel this works best from 7:00 GMT to about 20:00 GMT.

All the details are in the attached PDF which is version 1.2, it will be continually updated . Last updated on 17th Nov 2007.

P.s : I am online almost 8-10 hrs , so incase i dont reply , it will be coz i am off to bed, if not, i will surely reply to all

Guys while ur here and using this method, kindly take the poll and rate this thread also

Major Revisions in this Version 1.2
=========================
Lag settings has been modified.
Macd has been added
ASCtrend Alerts are no longer used.

These changes are all due to people who are trading this method and added to make this method almost fool Proof. Please take trades only as per rules mentioned in the PDF and lock in your profits if market moves in favour of your direction to have a Win-Win trades and to avoid loss of even 1 pip.

Contribution taken from Auslanco's strategy - Worth a read ( Modified to Suit this Method)

=================================== =======

Money Management & Trading habits:
Maximum 5% risk per pair.

Your risk to profit ratio has to be minimum 1:2. That means if you are taking a 5% risk on a trade make sure your profit target would be at least 10%.Always have realistic targets.

More trades you take the more you expose your account for losses. No trader in this world can profit from every single market move.

Patience plays a big part in trading. Take the trades only if you are at least 90% sure of profiting from it. If you are not sure stay away from the trade. Staying on the sideline is as good as winning.

Always have a trading strategy ... make a habit to stick to it doesn’t matter how desperate you are. Always trust your strategy but not bloomberg or some statement from citibank.

Your charts are your forex bible. Everything what you need to know about forex is on your charts. You will learn something new everyday from you charts.
Specialize in one or two pairs. Every single pair has it’s own characteristics. No two pairs are the same. Don’t trade all the pairs your broker can offer. If you specialize in one or two pairs very soon you will be able to read the pair like a road map .

Stay away from the ranging markets.

Don’t try to chase every single pip or market movement.

the more you trade there is more risk of losing your money.

remember there is no easy way to become a good consistently profitable trader. No one can become a profitable trader overnight. As everything else in life it takes time, patience lots of sacrifices and learning. Don’t be afraid of mistakes.

Contribution by Bfriend - Member of this thread and Contributor
=================================== ============
I was answering some questions for someone via PM and I thought it might be good to post it in this thread. Basically, it's my rules for this strategy. For some of you (especially the regulars) this info is basically common sense to you. It goes without saying, you take it for granted...it's second nature. However, for most traders, it's something no one has really told them. It's easy to come to this thread, skim it, and just think, "Hey, if the lags line up, I should trade. I'll make money every time just like Imrain."

The fact is, the lags are great, but they can't be used ALL the time. It's not that they're bad indicators (they're the BEST I've ever used), but no matter what kind of indicator you have, you just can't trade during certain conditions.

Anyway, here are my "rules" or the "conditions" that I'm speaking of:

1) Don't trade when the 60ema and 200ema are really narrow. Wait for it to break out first.

2) Don't trade when the market is slow (like right now). Right now the only market that is open is Sydney, and it doesn't really affect this currency. Ideally you want 2 markets to be open. The best time is when UK and Japan are open at the same time, or UK and US are open at the same time. You can trade at other times, but just make sure there is decent volatility / momentum.

3) Don't trade 30 mins before or after news.

4) If there's BIG news coming, it might not be good to trade for hours before because the market just stalls and goes nowhere (same problem as #2). This is because it's waiting for the news announcement. In this case, don't trade until after the news. Watch ForexFactory Home page for News in Red - High Votality.

5) Don't trade if you're up against a barrier. This includes the daily R1 R2 R3, daily S1 S2 S3, daily pivot, and weekly pivot. It's also good to look at the 15min 60ema and 200ema to see if you're close to them as well. I also recommend treating the "00's" (239.00, 238.00, etc.) as barriers. I call them psychological barriers, and it's really just common sense. Just think about when you have a $100 bill. You're less likely to spend it. Once you finally decide to break the $100 bill, you'll usually spend your smaller bills much more quickly. This is just human nature, and well, the forex market is driven by human beings.

Instead of just thinking of the barriers as times not to trade, use them to your advantage. Wait for a currency to either break through the barrier or bounce off it. If it does this, you should still wait for the lags to give you a signal.

So really, this doesn't leave much to trade. Some days are better than others, but today for example, there hasn't been a single good / safe time to trade since I woke up. Today was particularly bad in that regard. Like an idiot, I broke my rules and tried to trade anyway...and I lost.

If you just follow those basic rules and only trade when all of the rules are met, the lags work every single time. I've never had a losing trade when I followed my rules. If I had better discipline I could be doing 90%+ successful trades. Today, my discipline was very lacking and it cost me. Rules keep you from making bad decisions, but emotions keep you from following your rules. Trading with emotion is never good, but in reality, 99% of us will never be able to trade without emotion. As long as you can keep your emotions in check enough to follow your rules, you can be a successful trader.

###Auto Pivot.mq4 (15.2 KB, 5247 views)

StochHistogram.mq4 (2.6 KB, 4354 views)

MACDTraditional.ex4 (3.2 KB, 1675 views)

imran_setup.tpl (8.5 KB, 1788 views)

Laguerre-ACS1.ex4 (3.7 KB, 1744 views)

5min_trade_strategy_imransait_ver1.2.pdf (308.4 KB, 2952 views)

lets tray this.
